The High Stone is located at an altitude of 1,058 metres a.s.l. It is a popular destination in summer and winter, with a chalet on the summit offering refreshments and snacks. The High Stone has always been a landmark in the area and the nucleus of many local legends. A yellow hiking trail passes through Wysoki Kamień, which can be used to reach the Death Bend, as well as the red trail, which is part of the Main Sudety Trail.
An interesting fact:
Historically, this was the site of one of the first chalets in the Sudety Mountains built in the 19th century by the Schaffgotsch family, who owned a huge tract of land in the area. They had a wooden chalet built, which, due to various misfortunes, did not survive.
